Granny's gone and done it again

Our dominant female Red Heeler still grabs the males and her sister by the muzzle when she is trying to correct their behavior. She is amazing. They are almost 2 now and she will work hard to keep the peace. Tonight one of the males was asking for attention and I was petting him when Sid's sister, Rocki came up and wanted attention. When she wants attention she will growl at the boys and take charge. Usually when she does this I push her away until she remembers her manners. Tonight, wanting to diffuse the situation, Sid stepped between them, pushed Varn out of the way and gave sister Rocki the stink eye. Then I got a kiss like she was saying, 'Didn't I do good mom!'

Raising these five cattle dogs has been a learning experience not only for them but for us also.

Heading for bed here. Y'all have a good rest.

I love that, Micro! We can learn so much by watching them. Sammy now responds when I give him the stink eye too. I will tell you about that tomorrow. Good night! ❤
