Granny's gone and done it again

Granny, we do it all the time. We are lucky to have a postage scale from our business so we are able to weigh our packages, then look on line for size and weight at the USPS site. Once we figure that out, we mark it on the package where the postage goes, write a check to postmaster and put it on, in or hanging on our mailbox. They pick it up for us, and if we write a check for too much or don't give them enough money they let us know and we make it right with them if necessary.

We live rural 8 miles from the nearest town of 1300 people so they know us but ask your mail carrier.

Apple jelly ! Or you can freeze apples for apple pie turnovers . Mmm....
I have 12 quarts of apples in the freezer now. I also freeze applesauce and need to get more apples peeled and in our dehydrator before they go bad.

We got a little snow here today but I don't think it stuck. The chickens were huddled under their awning in the run until we opened them up to free range. Then I think they went and hung out under the car port. Silly things, they have other options. They just really like that awning. It's one section of corrugated metal screwed to two sawhorses, and there's just enough room for all of them to huddle together under it like a bunch of homeless people under a bus stop. They have a choice of two dry coops they could hang out in, but I get it. They can see clearly in all directions from under the awning so they feel safe there.

Thank you ! He usually blows the horn when we get a package and I go outside to get it from him so hoping I can catch him tomorrow.
I am about 15-20 mins from the nearest town IF you want to call it a town. LOL

I use the peel and cores for jelly.
