Poor Granny, you are a wreck. Seems like there's either one problem or three. Hugs.

Well I did catch up. slept til 1pm. Bladder still hurts.

My meds went through and will be delivered tomorrow. So no withdrawals.

Morning all. I didn't sleep well either. Hip pain kept waking me up then about 12:30 it dawned on me that I hadn't taken my H.S. pain meds. Crap. Got up, took them and was asleep about 30 minutes later. Slept till 5 when the dogs woke us up to go out or else.

Oh well, there is always tonight.

Agenda for today? Make cutout sugar cookies and decorate them!

I do that a lot w/ my nerotin. I will remember after I lay down. Sometimes I will get back up but many more times I wont.

Had a nice surprise this morning... #1son found a small pullet egg in the run on the ground. Pretty sure it's the blue pullet of questionable breed. She is the reddest and squats if you look cross-eyed at her.

I think she is a blue Australorp. The egg has that heavy layer of bloom I saw from both of my other lorps. Makes it look pinkish.
Lots of scratches. Glad they didn't crack it.

Compared to brown store bought large and a cream colored serama egg.

I thought we would get eggs this winter, but thrilled it is so early! Technically, not even winter yet, is it?
Got the nest box set up with shavings and a couple of plaster eggs. She's the only one showing any interest so far.

Oh, and tried to let them out into the fenced area again today. 4 of them flew over the fence and were working their way toward the house. Not ready to have them mingling with the mob yet. Hubs picked up the lav orp and the other 3 raced to keep up with him walking back to the coop.They really do like people. Maybe too much!
I locked them in. Can't watch them today. I will assuage my guilt with a big serving of chopped kale for them and some rolled oats, which is their favorite.
