Granny's gone and done it again

When I open the door I lose all my heat and humidity and shrink wrap any that have pipped
Have you tried misting with water when you first open the door?? That sometimes help keep humidity up. Right in the middle of writing the first sentence, the site crashed and I quit trying.
error 524 I believe.

According to the PO my sister's package was delivered Sat OR was it Friday ?? Either way I have not heard from her about it. That's STRIKE TWO !!! :rant

Yes, it was THAT same error. PMO royally.
So, you do the three strike rule as well. Great to know I am not alone.

Morning to you @HuffleClaw, and good morning to Granny and the Crew!

Christmas week! Whow, the end of the year. Can't say much outside our little 29 acre world is worth remembering but life has been good on the farm in spite of the world revolving around us. It's just hard to realize that 2020 is almost over....FINALLY! :th

That’s what screws me up. When I open the door I lose all my heat and humidity and shrink wrap any that have pipped
I don't incubate, but I have read about it (you know, just in case...). If you build in a heat sink, opening the incubator will have less impact. People used bottles of water for this. It will take longer to get your incubator up to temp in the beginning, and of course you have to have room.
For the humidity, I read about people microwaving a clean wet sock to toss in if opening close to lockdown.
Steaming socks sound good this morning. It's cold!

Edit add,
Starting with hot water in the bottles would be a better idea. Duh. Been a long time since I read about this.

Yes problem is the way it is set up. I open the door and all the heat and humidity fall out. It would not be so bad with a table top.

I need a really good idea for some last minute Christmas gifts. I already bought gifts for these people but one arrived damaged and the other one was handmade and looks like it's for a girl but it's for a guy and I can't bring myself to give it to him as the only gift. lol, If he gets it, it's going to be a "Haha, see I tried." kind of gift.
