Yeah, me too, but Pert's no dummy. I just looked up news for Abilene. They are also having rolling blackouts and power outages, running out of city water. They got a lot of snow, though, so if he's got fire he can melt snow.

It takes an amazing amount of snow to produce any significant amount of water. Do NOT attempt to eat snow to slake thirst. It will only cause you to freeze to death faster, by lowering your core temp.

We have a well, but no power to the pump. Luckily we have rain collection containers, and a river if need be. However , the river water is very brown right now.

I don't like that. Had a rental car and I was trying to avoid a big pothole and the car wouldn't let me. I want to be in control of the car, not the other way around. I get annoyed when the car bings at me for not having my seat belt on... long driveway at the farm and need to get out for the gate. Don't need the car to tell me how to drive.
