My BFF raised her credit score 31 points. Not sure how long or what she did. She wanted a home loan but they said she didn't have credit because she had paid off her car and none if her bills counted.

That's the problem. You have to have a couple open lines of credit. Now I just wait for more time to pass.

I'm so not screwing this up. I have spent too much time trying to get my ducks in line.

I had about 8 major cards and hid them in my closet. Never did use them. One I used and maxed out. about 15 grand.

Ended up filing bankruptcy on it and 6 months later they are trying to give me more . I declined them.

I'm only doing this to help our fico scores. Got to remain diligent.
