My GC is doing great. Should make it to St Louis by about 10 pm tonight. It's only a couple of hours from there to home, but she'll be tired. And she has a friend she wants to visit there anyway. I'm so proud of her, she's doing great.

Phoo, I have a camera and I don't get shots like that. Although I just got a new phone with 3 lenses so once I figure out what they do, maybe I will get better shots too!

Hmm. Starling, maybe? But I don't see the speckling on the front.

What phone? I am getting the Samsung s21 or something.. it has three lenses.

googled common birds in missouri more than once. It looks like a starling in some ways but not all the ways, LOL

The young ones are pale brown overall with a dark bill... but pics of some of them show a very glossy, highly speckled plumage. Maybe ut's a juvie just starting to get adult plumage. The bright yellow bill, red legs and overall stance all say starling to me.
