Granny's gone and done it again

We had a few brood mares that were more like refugees. Head shy and so jumpy and nervous, poor things. They were treated so poorly at the track. To this day, I can't stand Thoroughbred racing.

I hate how young "they" start them as well. Lots of horses end up "breaking down" because they are just plain to young for whats demanded.

Yes, exactly. My dad ended up selling yearlings for hunter jumpers. I helped green break them. Man, the things you do when you are a dumb kid!
