Granny's gone and done it again

Yes, it does help if the ticks bite. Kills them, mostly. But the dog still gets bit... I'm not sure if it prevents the dog from getting tick borne diseases, though,, which is the biggest problem with ticks.
What about dusting the yard? I know Cap has too much yard but wondering about mine. I hate to use poison if it hurts the birds though.

It kills all the insects, and other things too. Not going to salt the earth.

Keeping grass short and staying out of the brush is the best way to avoid ticks. Or get a herd of guineas or pet possums! Nom nom!
 
For humans it says the tick needs to be on you for 24 hrs to get sick. Im not wording that right but you get the idea
I've had the flea and tick stuff on the dogs and found engorged ticks on them. Not sure how long it takes to transfer the disease, but they had time to fill up.
