Mostly it was very cool. Two bad days for me were, one, in kindergarten when they separated us. I had bad eyesight and I couldn't see him. He disappeared into a kind of fog. I remember the world spinning and a screaming sound. I realized years later that I must have been screaming and spinning. After that I sort of went into shock, I think. Then, two, when we were 13 and got what I call our divorce. He went to Mom and Dad and made them tell me I couldn't hang around with him all the time any more. Turns out his guy pals were starting to notice I was a girl.

Lot o nuts in Texas. Back in the 70's there was a guy that was always coming by the service station I worked at driving an old army jeep that kept a male African lion chained beside him.

I don't mind seeing big cats captive in zoos and preserves, but I wish the nuts would leave them to the professionals. Lot of those "pets" have serious health and mental problems from inadequate care.
