I was taught that for some breeds, you look at the length of the feathers.

SD showed me a picture of her scalp today. I wish she hadnt. It looks really bad. Like its split from the top of her head to the neck. They shaved a lot of hair off too. She did a pretty good job hiding it by parting it on the other side.

even feathers are female and uneven the males . The reasoning behind that was females need a full even set to hover the eggs/babies.

So according to that, marigold is the only female correct? I can’t wait to see what happens! I was taught that the wings that are long/short/long/short are females and ones that are all short are males

I suck at it and normally wrong but I will guess the first one to be a roo and the rest pullets.

your supposed to look at pin feathers when they first emerge.

My guess would be the black one is the only male, I heard it does not work for mixes, but we will see!
