I made chilis rellenos and sloppy joes for dinner tonight. Chilis rellenos are Anaheim chilis roasted, peeled and stuffed with cheese and onions, rolled in fluffy egg batter and fried. They were delicious but greasy. Dad loved them but mom was less than enthusiastic about making them, and now I see why, and understand why later in life she prepared them as a casserole. I'm going to do the same in the future! Making them once was on my bucket list, though.

What a day, it was too hot to sit out and watch kids swim. But I did it, went to my dads. In denair. My sister is here visiting so we had some good visiting but the heat got to me. I am drained now.
