Granny's gone and done it again

Do you bring them to show? Like at an auction type place?
No, I don't go to shows. I did that with the dogs. Too much prep, travel, time eaten up. It keeps me busy just caring for them here.

I don't like animal auctions because often people get rid of sick or troublesome birds there. I have been to auctions, but don't approve of the way they handle the animals. It's sad.
I have never been to an auction actually…

I've sort of learned that the hard way. I went to the auction once, and chickens were enclosed in tight areas and the environment was overall unsanitary. The animals there were obviously poorly taken care of, with the cows and cattle being herded and hit by paddles while showing. Somehow, the animals there were all sold at exceeding low prices. We got a buckling for $1 there, who came with extreme diarrhea and other undesired symptoms. He passed shortly after we got him. I'm not even sure if he got his first dose of colostrum.:( Not a fan of auctions. I would rather pay more for responsible breeders.

We have shown and gotten degrees in rally, obedience and conformation. We train in agility. Weave poles are fun! We train in lodi, ca.
Nice! We live about an hour away!
I’m just beginning to train my BC in agility. I have SO many questions. :DDoes your dog have to be AKC registered in order to compete? And what method do you prefer to train weave poles?
