Try reading that without singing along.
...except I don't know the rest of the lyrics.
So. Oot in the desert again, even though most of our contemporaries ditched out on us. so I'm thinking huh. A weekend without the kids. This will be a change!
Nope. The grandma ran off with the four year old so we roll in around ten...at one point saw her peeking out the trailer and I tell the grandma so she can put her back to bed....and oh you have to see her!
Uh wait. It's past her bedtime I don't want to spin her up. Oh but she's been so good! Uh, grandma...she won't be so good when she's tired and cranky tomorrow!!!
Oh no you have to! Get dragged to the trailer...sigh. I think the grandma is thinking yay free help.
As expected, seeing peach and I did spin her up a bit...even though I try to keep things mellow. I try to excuse myself at some point to finish setting up my trailer and cause my mutt is cracking out a bit (she needed some water and some alone time to go pee). "Oh can I go with kat?" The grandma looks at me expectantly...like I'm going to take her in her Jammie's well past her bedtime..."no sweetie it's bedtime you need to sleep"
If her mother knew...course her mom is probably thinking yay weekend of only one kid! This child is super high energy. And with no other kids in camp...
My somewhat calm weekend where I was hoping to get some reading done...nope. Sigh.
I do adore this kid I just don't have the energy to keep up with her...especially after the week I've had. Further proof that maybe I'm better off being the crazy chicken and dog lady. (Though hubs is greatly resisting a second dog...I gotta keep trying!)
