Granny's gone and done it again

Better today, thanks! How's your day?
Still fighting this infection. Slept in until around 1 pm. And could fall back to sleep any time. But I have been working on a chicken tractor, so I cut some wood and painted it. Also tacked wire on the ends today.
Cleaned out a double brooder. And cut pieces for inside the playhouse. Painted them.

Almanac said this was last & best day to plant root crops for awhile, so I rushed & prepared 4 buckets, 3 with potatoes & 1 with carrots. Gonna prepare 3 more in the am for onions & radishes
What kinds of buckets do you use, Jane, where do you get them, and what do they cost? How do you put holes in them? I may have to fence off an area away from the chooks to do this, but it sure sounds easier than breaking out the roto tiller.

I have several people who have given them to me ,some full of chicken manure, they are mostly hydraulic fluid buckets, I used a drill for 7 holes each, 5 gallon buckets, if they don't drain well I'm gonna add holes in the sides
Very nice!
