I have ruined the light on my tank. water splashing up there. I have to get busy figuring out what to get/do. My scrap wood is all treated.

I have been trying to think of something. If you have scrap wood, you could wrap it in plastic wrap or foil (or both) to keep it safe. It would work as a quick fix until something comes along. You need some rigid thin water proof material that you can cut to shape... plastic roofing, tin roofing, any plastic (replacement for a screen door window?). If you have some heavy wire, you could make a frame and cover it in plastic wrap.

I have hardware cloth. I dont know how big it is. tank is 30in. L
Light is probably trash.

I dont know what to do about shots. this stuff stays in his system for a long time and vet said no shots now but when ? I will call him I guess. The 5 in 1 has parvo in it. Remember me talking about that stinky dog of his ? Someone found it running in a park downtown , thought it was a stray . Guess it got out

Gonna have to talk to the vet about that.

I dont think they throw heat.

bend a lip for it, cut out for filter and food . I think it might work.

Long as I dont tear the wrap on the wire.

You can rig up something. Even two smaller pieces of hardware cloth, so you don't always have to remove the whole thing if you need to feed them or whatever.

Tearing it a bit at the edges probably wouldn't matter. Wrap it around a few times. Or tape the sharp edges before wrapping.
