Granny's gone and done it again

Still up. Hard to settle down after running around all day. Fading though. I don't work with certian somebody tommorrow.. didn't work with him today either. we where SO busy though. weds. will suck a little though
I’m still up too. I was betrayed by a book and have not gotten over it yet and I can’t sleep till I finish the chapter but I’m too upset to read. 😆

Something that helps me a lot if I can’t sleep or calm down (for reasons other than books) is chamomile tea. I add a bit of honey to mine and sometimes a little cream, but I love it straight too.

I’m glad you didn’t have to deal with your certain co-non-worker. I admire how patient you were with him though. I don’t know what I would have done but it wouldn’t have been pretty.

It’s good that you have busy days though, I understand they are tiring and stressful but it’s better than having no business and possibly losing your job.

You are a truly inspiring person! The amount of work you pull off while still being patient, kind, and helpful is amazing. I know it would be a pleasure to work with you in anyway. Your team is incredibly blessed to have whether they realize it or not.

Thank you, really. I try my best. I put in 100% til the end of the day. Last night was awful. We ran three 800 dollar hours in a row. 800 dollars an hour is A LOT. we usually make about 300 ish. That was 24 hundred with just the evening rush. Today was 15 hundred... it was almost as busy, but less stressful because I didn't need to baby sit.

I trained a new person today! It was refreshing as he was kind and respectful. He took my critisim well and put his full effort in. I'm excited for him. The difference is amazing. One co-worker who will back talk me and refuse to work, another one who will do whatever you ask. That's that I like to see. My job is SO busy, that you NEED to pull your weight or else you drag everybody down.

Considering how stressed out I was yesterday, I did in fact impress myself. Ideally I wouldn't of yelled at him at all, but to only yell at him once in a span of 8 hours.. pretty great. Over hot sauce of all things, but hey, whatever. You know, with the 20 orders on the table, with 5 needing to be wrapped, you think you'd shut up and put hot sauce on a dang burger, instead of whining about "not knowing hot to do it"... you cannot go and tell me you cant squirt hot sauce on a burger. I was so frusterated with him and it took me 3 times of asking him nicely before I literally lost it and started screaming. I did NOT have time to baby sit him, I asked him to wrap orders because I had 20 more orders to prepare, which he is unhelpful in that situation because guess what?? HE REFUSED TO LEARN HOW TO DRESS BUNS. How surprising?!

"he might just be stupid enough to fire" rings in my head. I sure hope so. My GM asked SM (gm - general manager. SM - shift manager) if new guy back talked to him. SM said no. Gm said "oh.. he'll back talk avary though".. I laughed and said "yeah, it must be his favorite game. Back talk avary".

Like, look. I know i'm not in charge. But I've been here long enough to know the basics. I know how things run. If everybody else is too busy to help you, you're just going to have to listen to me. Am I in charge? no. is that a reason to not respect me? No. its not.

If he needs help from me again, I'm ignoring him. He can go ask somebody else questions. I was trying to be nice and helpful by stepping in, but the way he treated me wasn't ok and I'm really not putting myself through that again.

if tomorrow isn't at least a little less busy, I think I might actually loose it.

Alright I really need to sleep now. I might go on a date tomorrow if things turn out, then after I work again. I'm really behind on my sleep. You know what I'll do all day on thursday? Sleep. Just sleep ALL day.
Yes you do! That sounds like it would be fun, I hope it works out for you. We are having a home inspection tomorrow I just hope my dog doesn’t eat anyone (he hates strangers. He has dislocated my shoulder before, he was trying to get to our mail carrier). Sounds like a great plan for Thursday!

I remember pushing down for reverse
Volvo had a ring thing to pull up on the collar of the shifter.
I got my parents old Corolla as my first car. It was automatic shift. My second Toyoya was a shift stick , and I learned to drive it with 2 lessons in the car lot from the salesperson. It was a station wagon, and held an amazing amount of stuff.
Yay corollas!
pushing 50 years for me other then a few I took off in my 20's
TWIST!
A stick is not necessarily better, but back when some of us learned to drive, there were no automatics.
I find it keeps you more engaged with your driving too.
That sounds difficult to drive...how long did it take you to fully learn stick shift?
You know, it took me a while before I wasn’t stalling out here there and everywhere because not only was I learning stick, I was learning to drive. A lot of stuff that needed to go into my noggin!
Perhaps one of the more difficult things to learn about driving a stick shift is taking off from a red light on an incline without bumping into the car behind you.
Or chirping tires lol.
