Hot smoky day. Hiding inside with the windows shut. Glad I got my chicken chores done early before it got hot.

The kale patch needed watering

Picked some kale

Hungry hens hoping for a hand out

Chopped the kale

They like the stems too

Here she comes. Egg laying can wait until after snacks.

Haven't checked on them since this morning. Hope we get some eggs!

Just came in from outside. Still feels hot, but better. Cleaned 3 brooders. I put the white bantam polish in the coop I cleaned yesterday.
Let the frizzle polish out today.
