Ron, I looked up your area on Purple Air this morning. You have it worse than us. The smoke does cut the sun some, but the old hens are hot tonight, poor things.

I have only lived in one house that had ac. A rental when I was teaching and only for about a year. We never ran it... too expensive.

Almost every house in the Sacramento valley has central heating and air. The Coast not so much.

Cooling is more expensive than heating here.
