It was very local, not very deep. I still haven't looked up which fault. We are near Roger's Creek fault and Maacamus.

what kind of extra food do you keep? Like canned goods?

Yup, some canned goods (broth, tuna, refried beans, tomatoes) lots of pasta, big bag of rice. Stuff we use regularly but I keep extra. Freezer is stuffed too.

No, only if a water main breaks under a street or something.
Florida has sinkholes because they are low land surrounded and swamped by water. It also has to do with the make up of the ground. Not a lot of stable bedrock in many places there.

I could use a big freezer. I have a small chest type but the food they give us takes all the room in it.
I will stock up on that kind of stuff too. I can always do some thing with noodles and rice.
