My dad has one. He's happy with it. 25 yrs old, so I bet the technology has improved since.

Google sezs it last longer then the tank but the small ones only heat one thing at a time so you couldnt shower while the dishwasher is going.

we fried them right along with the fish. If they were broke open they would pop bad so we was always careful to take them out whole.
