I have an algae eater in there that makes his rounds at night. I imagine he ate them. The only way to let them hatch is to take the eggs out or only have the parents in the tank

Probably once a month or so unless they are raising them then not til you pull the babies .

Flake food unless I want them to breed then blood worms, brine shrimp..
