Nope, not with honas.
My experience is that it does not work. We used at least 20lbs in the garden last year and it didn't phase the ants.

If it gets wet it doesn't work. It should work in a nest box. What are they going after in the nest box?
They will climb in the pips and eat the babies trying to hatch. It happened last year in the coop.
I know for sure it didn't get wet. I asked tons of questions and made sure I got the right stuffed and used it correctly. We got so frustrated at one point that we stirred up the ant bed and dumped handfuls straight on top. It looked like the dirt was boiling, but they didn't die.

Well you must have some strong ants there. I used in my dog barn for ants gets into my dog treats. They left right quick. They get in the pips, yuck.
Fire ants are nasty, nasty, nasty.
Camping, are they fire ants ? Nothing kill them except straight up gasoline. I would sprinkle sevin dust in the nest box. Shoot, I dump it on my chickens . Thats horrible about them eating babies.
I've used sevin before, but was hoping to kill them all the way down with the food bait.
