Been planting my root crops, picked 1st greens & all the green tomatoes off the vines, we have hoe cakes left from yesterday to go with our fried green maters & greens for supper.

You all are making my mouth water. I used to live in the south. I'm in the west now, for years, but I miss some of these foods you are mentioning. One I really miss is hush puppies. Oh, there are a few restaurants that..try..to make them like I remember. There's one that comes close, Crackle Barrel.

My hoe cakes had onions in them so they were similar to hush puppies, more crust

Up here "they" now like to have a NP see you and then charge for a Dr visit. WRONG !!!!!

We also have drive through..and free of charge for the test. I've had that test .. they don't go up all the way now. They only go just up inside of the top of the nostril, barely up. Better than the ..all the way back! I had that last year! Aweful.

memories on FB from 8 years ago. hahaa cracking me up thinking about that kitten feeding the chickens.

Well i can see how much every one has missed me by all the messages i've gotten so i guess i will liven it up a little. yesterday i decided to clean the chicken coop good for winter. i scraped and swept for 2 hrs and that didn't suit me so i got the water hose and started spraying.
when all hell broke loose, there were mice every where. there was running, jumping, squealing, and then there was the mice. had to been 50 of them that i seen so u can imagine how many there really was. i was drowning them with the hose and my kitten was catching them and giving them to the free range chickens and they would take them and run to eat them. why couldn't they do that to begin with?sooo, i had a 50 gal. tub turned upside down (BECAUSE OF SKEETERS) NEXT TO THE COOP AND I THOUGHT , BET THERE IS SOME THERE TOO. i got my stick and raised the tub and it happened so fast! the kitten ran under there, i seen about 6 of
them and the stick broke. i heard, bam,bam,bam and when i quit peeing myself i lifted the tub and all i saw was a very happy kitty.
