It is not that cold here actually. The chickens have been eating a lot less because of the grass though.

I do. Not sure how he could of jumped out with the lid I have but I guess thats possible.

Mine would jump where the opening was for the heater, or whatever else I needed it for. I would find some on the floor, or, I wouldn't find them at all. It was a mystery.

I had one that big back in the 80's. He got too big for the ten gallon tank. . Took him to the vet I went to back then. He had a massive sized tank in there, and that angel fish got huge in there through the years. Later I got a 32 gallon tank. Loved it, had it for years. Can't take care of them well enough now days.

They can get pretty big. I have too many tanks going here for me to take care of now.
