when you do cross breed "cattle" and yaks you need a bull yak and it MUST be raised with cattle from weaning onwards Otherwise they yak bulls aren't interested in the smooth cows ONLY the very hairy yak cows. Other way around isn't and should NOT be done, Calves would be to big to be delivered with out a vet's assistance.

Remember Yak calves are about 25 lbs or so.
