Granny's gone and done it again

at least you found her and know it wasnt coyotes.

Exactly better to find and know then never be sure. Oh and the picker uppers have a friend who runs 1500 sheep and the gov released some wolves out their way. they were losing sheep and lambs UNTIL they bought a couple yaks and put them in with their sheep. Evidently the yaks do/did much better than guardian dogs or anything else they had tried.

She still might have the hormones and tried to "take care" of the calf.
How old do you think it was when it died?

She was a mid to late June baby IF I remember correctly. Well June for sure. NICE big/healthy looking heifer to.

So after getting the 2 loaded and the picker uppers on the road. I had left blue (truck) in the rodeo grounds as needed to unload a couple licks tubs BUT was frozen and needed to warm up. We come out 30 minutes or so later and the ENTIRE herd were in the rodeo grounds and had surrounded Blue. There is something about that truck they just can NOT resist. Even Gene's (colorado) feeder bull/steer yaks had to swarm blue when I dropped off his 8 head.
