The difference is that on Facebook it's embedded. You can watch right from Facebook, without bothering with Instagram at all. But here it's just a link, so you have to go to Instagram to see it.

It's the same reason that some people can watch embedded videos on BYC, but not get the links to load.

Probably not, then. It's a social medium for pictures, mostly, but you can add short videos. Used to be a 14-second limit, but it's much longer now.

I don't like to bother youtube with anything under a minute long.
