Granny's gone and done it again

I hear ya granny. 4 years ago my journey to find out what kind of arthritis I have began with a trip to a rheumatologist. He found advanced osteo, some form of inflammatory arthritis but nobody could figure out what sort of animal it was. So a trip to the ER in September and 4 months of tests under the care of a GI and the word is in, the inflammation is being caused (they think) by infections caused by diverticulitis. Seem like the nerves that serve your intestines also serve your back and hips some how.

So advanced Osteoarthritis, osteoporosis and the rheumy was right, a form of inflammatory arthritis. Anybody who doesn't have joint or bone pain, or inflammation around your joints should kneel by the side of your bed tonight and thank what ever religious leader you subscribe to that you don't have it and then get up and get busy taking care of your joints!

Okay, back to your regularly scheduled thread. Hey everybody. 14 degree high here. Chickens are ins ide scratching in the straw and doing what chickens do best, eating and pooping while I'm inside trying to keep warm until I have to go out and top off their water holders with hot water.

I will never complain about hot weather again!

I have 3 different kinds of arthritis and its all from steroids I have taken most of my life to suppress my adrenal glands.
I have osteo arthritis. My left knee and hip are the worst and my right foot has a big bump on the top of it.

In congenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH), a mutation (genetic change) causes the adrenal glands to make too little cortisol. In the most common type of CAH, called 21-hydroxylase deficiency, the adrenal glands also might not make aldosterone.
