When are calves usually weaned?

I actually don’t know the exact age.. I know we keep them with the mothers longer than most other places though.

around 6 months or latter, I have gone as early as 5 BUT it was a BIG calf and when butting the udder (to encourage milk flow) he was lifting mom's hind legs off the ground

Maybe she is just a little more vocal than usual. My dad thought it was a he at first...

I was wondering if it was a bull when I first heard it. Is it possible they added a bull to cover the cows?
Are they beef cows? They tend not to be as calm around people. Dairy cows are nicer that way. I think Jerseys are beautiful... those big eyes!

We can't shoot them without a permit. What do you guys think, for eggs best interest. Should I put them in the incubator tonight? I can watch them for a little while longer, or should I wait till morning. Part of me wants to do it tonight since they have been in the fridge. I feel like I should get them in ASAP. The logic side of me says I should wait till morning and let the air cells float back up to the top. However I will be at school the whole day. I also just set up the incubator about 2 hours ago. I have been able to keep it at 36.6 C with 50 - 55 humidity. I think I should wait till morning so the air cells have a chance to get positioned and the incubator has a chance to run. Opinions?

I don't know, but they seem very calm.

Some of our other neighbors own Jerseys. I find their "head tuff" very appealing and cute!
