Hey Ron. I make kefir for my dogs. Never heard of piima
Cultures for health had a packet of traditional yogurts. These do not need to be cultured in a warm place but are left on the counter to culture. The piima was one of them that I like!

It takes 8 to 10 hours on the counter to culture.
 
Oh wow, did not know this! I usually culture 6 hrs, is this long enough?
More like 12 hours or so. I have done this a couple of times and it was good but very sour
