I need some advice, Grannyland. I spilled hot wax all over one of my good (expensive!) stainless steel pans. I'm scraping it with a wooden spoon but it's not all coming off. Ideas?

Can't you just...melt it off? Wax melts at 145 degrees F, says google.

There is wax on both the inside and outside of the pan.

How about in the oven? Upside down? With a tray underneath to catch the wax.

This wooden spoon is doing a fair job but it's leaving some residue. I think a good scrub with Bartender's friend might finish it off.

Thanks, Cherry, I'll consider that. I'm afraid the heat might discolor the pan though.

Not hard enough to ruin the pan though. My mom loves her stainless steel pans.

Do you have a little propane torch? Heat a little, wipe with cloth, repeat.
