Granny's gone and done it again

It's been snowing all day. Hasn't really stuck to the roads, but it's getting deep on the ground. Kids are out getting taxes done. Will worry until they get home, I know that's going to turn to ice on the roads. :/

I went to the park in Danville after lunch. It is on the river, but the waterfront is so steep i couldn't rock hunt . But i did look for rocks in 2 small creeks. I founds lots of tourmaline, the biggest pieces i have ever seen!

What color tourmaline did you find Cap? BTW I love the elephant plant stand. Is that a piece you did or did you find it somewhere?

@Cynthia12 the petrified wood is gorgeous. It polishes up beautifully in a tumbler.

Every time I see pictures of the rock fields in Utah I'm in awe. That and I get the itch to say to my husband, honey can we go to Utah so I can come home with the back of the van filled with rocks?

Black tourmaline.
What elephant plant stand? Not mine.
Road trip to Utah, as soon as i get a chicken/ rabbit/goat sitter.

Elephant plant stand is mine. DH showed up with it one day. He’s not one to show up with things like that, but he knows I love elephants. It sat in the entryway as a “purse holder” for many years 😂

Here it is holding my sad peace lily.

My peace lilies were sad until I learned how to water them. I give them sips of rainwater just when the surface of their pot is dry and they are very happy. They don't like deep watering. They just like to be kept lightly moistened, as they are jungle plants, liking a little moisture often rather than a lot once a week. We have mineral-dense well water, so I collect rain water for them and they love it. They would probably have bigger blooms if I fed them but I forget and/or am lazy. 😔
