Ive never had home made kraut. Is it a lot different from canned?
better for you and I prefer it. This recipe is dead easy.
Shred cabbage, stuff (medium pack) in hot sterilized jars, add a teaspoon each of salt, sugar and white vinegar, fill jar with simmering water, put n lid and ring and water bath for 20 minutes. Wait at least 4 weeks and VIOLA sauerkraut.
