Rotator cuff? Oh maaan. It's ok. Sometimes we're at this spot, where we just don't feel up to anything. Then, we feel like, hey, today, I can do this much today. Fibro is a weird illness. I never know when I'm going to feel up to doing. It's been an ok week for getting some things done, but like you, there are big things. I hired my little cousin up the street to weed whack for me today. Glad that's done! Austin has a torn cuff. Came home the other night in horrible pain after playing dodge ball with some youth he works with in the church. Well, threw his arm out to hit the ball, and boy it hurt him. Had to go to the ER. They did an x-ray to make to sure it wasn't broken. Nope. We know what's up since he originally hurt it. So, they said, head for your doc. They need a referral for a specialist. He needs to get that surgery done. Keeps hurting it. It's going to turn into a bigger therapy time if he doesn't do it soon. He can't do too much around here right now.
You do NOT want it in an IV if you can possibly help it! I don't know why they give you those damn chalky horse pills, either. Why can't you take two smaller pills, it's just stupid. A potassium IV burns like fire and takes hours, it's torture. They tried to give me four of them and after the third one I refused. My vein was inflamed for weeks. Thanks, Covid. Eat bananas, eat potatoes. Eat anything you can that has potassium. How come I'm just hearing about this? They saw me struggling to swallow those things in the hospital, said if I couldn't swallow them that would have to stay and get it in an IV.![]()
