Granny's gone and done it again

They have it at your madison Walmart. Not cheap though.

Nice, Star! What don't you like about it?
Tailgate. It’s not like an suv - it hinges out like a door. That will be a bit of a problem come shopping time - needing extra space. People are idiots so even if I park way forward in the spot people will probably still pull up to my bumper. (I dont like backing out of spots if I can help it)

There’s not much room for dog back there - we will actually need to physically remove the back seats. They don’t fold flat or anything. I can probably get him to mount up from the back but the front seat pushes up a bit to allow access to the back - but not as much as I thought it would.

Cloth/canvas like seats. Could go either way with dog hair.

Noisy. It’s got the hard top but there’s still a LOT of wind noise.

I haven’t even driven it yet though so who knows. Maybe I’ll get behind the wheel and love it but all practical purposes, I’m not feeling it. The Volvo suits my needs a lot better - even with the leaky sunroof, no stereo and questionable ac.

It’s also a lot less desirable for the questionable people - and with how far I sometimes have to park from my work, I do NOT want to take a freaking hard to come by bronco and park it on the street out of sight.

NINJA EDIT HIIIYAH!!! It also amazingly gets WORSE gas mileage than my bigger and bigger engined truck. Not by much but still. Worse freaking fuel economy? No thanks. I’ll commute in the Swedish brick.
Have you tried Dave’s killer bread?

I love their thin sliced bread. I have some in the freezer cause I’m not that much of a bread fan but…it’s so good with egg salad sandwiches.

Anyways. Am I evil I asked him to clean the Volvo tonight while I’ll be busy working on payroll? I mean my gosh. It’s a freaking mess and it’s all from him. Sigh. I’m not going to have time til the weekend.

I loved my Volvo station wagon.
I’ve had a couple through the years. A 98 v70 hubs got from the junkyard - sunroof leaked and the trans started going, so we got a 2007 v50 (no sunroof so no leakage yay but valve body/trans started going as well - what the hey.) had a 245 I meant to have as a work on with hubs project car but it never sparked him joy - he used it as a commuter when he worked at calfire and didn’t want to touch it. It got sold. Now I’m rocking what was supposed to be husbands off-road Volvo 3.0 (yep he’s had two iterations before this) but hey. Once these big beefy tires are done I’ll put something a little more sane on and just send it.

We bought ours at the Salvation Army. People would donate their cars to get a tax write off. My hubby would get really good deals. Until they got a new manager and they wanted more for them.but that Volvo was sweet. I felt so safe in it. Ran well. But myDH isn’t. Mechanic. He would just flip them. Those days are gone
