^ Before, right hand side, nests. Way too small, actually. Hens need to stand in order to lay their eggs, nests should be 12" from top to bottom. We did not know this when we built. Also, that window is way too big and I had to block most of it. More work will be done next week.

Below: Changes!

Poop board is 16" wide. Roost is 6" above. This will be changed. Roost will be lowered 3" next week as we realized poop will not land in poop boards, lol!

New nests and unfinished roosts. Had to quit bc a storm moved in. Hens have since used nests, so yay!

So much more room in center of coop! And much easier to clean roosts. Less chance of broken eggs with bigger nests. Roost at back is 3" above poop boards. Other roosts will be the same. Very happy! Coop still needs improved ventilation.

Oh no, that’s NOT my pig, just one that I liked. My fairs not until July, so still a decent while away.
It did come from my 4H project though. Which means I technically helped breed it...emphasis on the technically.
Is it a jackpot?
No, just a youth livestock show for 4H and FFA kids. Attended because several exhibiters bought pigs from the breeding swine project (which I am apart of).

Maybe that's something he can practice with Kevin.
My guys as youngsters wouldn't order or pay without me pushing them. Not sure what caused the resistance since we played store at home and practiced counting money. Probably just didn't want to make a mistake. Thank heavens for debit cards. Makes it so easy. Sometimes too easy!
True, true. 🤭
