Ugh. Dog help me....on hold with the IRS. Try to call to figure out/dispute the fact that they owe me money, and won't even put me on hold...just straight up nope can't talk to you about this subject.

So I'm calling about the recovery rebate credit, since that was the crux of the issue. TELL ME HOW I GOT THIS IRS. TELL ME...PLEASE.

So ragey, since if I owe them money, i have to pay today. Yet, I have until July 15th to dispute? Whiskey tango over.

2 hrs. Didn't even get to speak to the department I NEEDED to but I did speak with a very helpful lady who told me what I had to do, fill out a form, fax it away...etc etc.

So, get to to that and WAIT six weeks. Unless it comes back a check was cashed, then there's more shenanigans to be had.

...but seriously. What the hey with these stimulus payments. We got the trifecta of payments - one prepaid card, one direct deposit and one misplaced check.
