Coal and natural gas are still the most common fuels for electricity. Renewable energy (solar and wind) are getting better, but still not completely reliable. Hydroelectric (dams) produce some, but we're mostly at capacity... not many more places to add another dam without causing trouble for the environment. Everyone is afraid of nuclear power, but that is really our best option at this point. There is new technology that makes it very safe.

howdy all, long day. We lost electric for a while. Before coffee was made. At least my chair was down this time.

Did you get the storms? The sky went black so I ran out to round up the goons- I swear it kind of rained on one side of the yard, but I was perfectly dry on the other.

Cap even the tiniest sip of water would have me retching. Freaking sucks. Bright side….I started to feel a little hungry….which is usually the sign that it’s getting better. Maybe I can finish off this croissant from this morning…and drink more water before bed.

I was not a happy camper w/o coffee . Toms DD bought me a new coffee pot. supposed to be here Monday. It has a filter to remove calcium and fluoride. Hopefully it will last longer with my hard water and I wont have to wait Another 45 mins for it to get done.
The foxes ignore the dogs and now the dogs are ignoring them. Before Bandit would raise cain and they would ignore them.

Flush your coffee pot with vinegar on a regular basis. It helps break down the build up.

Well, apparently we all just need to go out and buy electric cars. CA isn't producing enough electricity as it is, let alone charging 10 million cars. Electric rates are also very high here. Shameful.

Don’t get me started.

So one of our neighbors invited hubs, goose and I over for a cookout/puppy play date today. I sent my boys over with my regrets. Apparently goose was NOT on his best behavior when I wasn’t there. (Though he’s not on his best behavior when I am there, he still gets selective hearing on recalls - but apparently when it was time to go he wouldn’t go near anyone and when hubs did grab him he got growled at…not cool.)

Sigh. I need to find another trainer to work with us. All of us. Don’t know how I’ll fit it in the budget but oh well.

He’s good when it’s the two of us. Sigh.
