Granny's gone and done it again

Most people don't realize this rugged, ubiquitous houseplant (Sansevieria trifasciata) can sometimes flower. This is a rare occasion and will never happen more often than once annually, usually in the springtime, and usually only with plants living outdoors year-round.

And not a weed in sight!
Thanks to hubs. We still have a small mountain of chipped pine on the driveway from when the power company cut down a tree in the back.
Hubs uses the pine chips on the walkway areas. It keeps the weeds down. Also, weed season is over. No more rain, so no more weeds.

That one has a lot more flowers than mine.
I noticed the buds were getting longer and then noticed the poor plant was bone dry. The blooms opened about an hour after I watered it.

Well.. my water pump went out. No shower, no watering the garden.. having no water sucks. Let's see if my landlord gets back to me in a reasonable time frame.
Oh nooooo! We are on a well too. It's always a concern. I am looking into getting a big storage tank.
Your landlord better get busy!

Our pump has a little lever that flips off if there is a power surge or if the water level is too low. The pump can be turned back on. Maybe yours has something similar?

It's hard to drag my landlord over here.. and she's my neighbor. We tried all the things to jump start it again. Nothing.
