We have no neighbors. I will google J beetle traps. But they may be gone already. My poor grape is decimared. The best method that we found was to give each of your neighbors a Japanese beetle trap and offer to tend to it to keep it functioning properly. We were helped by attracting the beetles to the neighbors and the chickens gained protein through our due diligence in keeping the traps checked. Our neighbors were highly satisfied because we were actively helping to control the beetle population. It felt like a win win situation for all involved.
Shes gone

Me, Im that friend.
You did right by her, Granny. It's a hard thing to do, but the most loving. It takes a strong heart to not let our faithful companions suffer and to release them when it's time. She'll always live in your heart and the two of you were blessed to have had each other.I couldnt hold her because Im not strong enough but I wrapped my arms around her . She was shivering. Scared I guess. The vet gave her one shot to knock her out then a different one to stop her heart. She explained everything to me before she did it. She went peacefully. They left me in the room with her for as long as I wanted to stay. They will cremate her.
Cost was $155.
I guess Im glad its over and she isnt suffering any more. She was the best dog I ever knew. A real gem and I am proud to of had her in my life for 15 + years.
Aww...Shes gone
