Well birthday is about over for another year. 71 today and I think I felt this one. May have to do with them putting my younger brother on hospice today.

I finished off a pepperoni pizza for supper. I skipped dinner.

we almost had pizza today but I got voted down.

Sigh. That was....a mess.

So...the company has been sued...break/time violations. (I know, I'm the payroll person but I'm not out there beating the guys with a stick to do it right....)

Sooooo...bosslady says to me the other day oh we'll need to compile a list showing how many pay periods over this time frame these 110 employees worked. So I say ok, who are the 110? Oh their daughter somehow knows the list. Does the daughter ever get back to me? no. But the lawyer says anyone eligible for overtime (aka not salaried). At the bosses' request that also kicked the office people out (even though uh we're not salary. The things I could get them for...) So....ok. List of all the field people and how many pay periods and go. Ended up being a spreadsheet of over 10,000 lines of data that I had to condense, compile and sort.....and also ended up being way over the 110 employees. Color me surprised, this was over a two year period of time....

I only got the info on what the spreadsheet needed to contain yesterday afternoon. Yesterday was me working on payroll/ap. I was planning on doing the spreadsheet this afternoon from the peace and tranquility of home. (which, yeah it took me four hours to get it all done but...it's done) ALL MORNING. How's that spreadsheet coming? How's that spreadsheet coming?

LOOK bosslady, you didn't give me ANY info until LAST FREAKING MINUTE, I've got the raw data already, I just need to make it MAKE SENSE which will TAKE SOME TIME. You also want me doing SO MUCH OTHER STUFF it's not even funny.

My logic in my brain is telling me that this trip to Oregon and Washington will end up much like the trip to Eureka, not much joy and stay here...but...oh my. I really wish I could do a life reset like that right now. Wouldn't it be awesome if we could downsize our payments and I wouldn't be stuck with this job anymore? (cause stuck I am, even though the job is killin me smalls, it pays better than other things I could get and pays for my commuting gas. Not many places would do that for an admin down here)
