Granny's gone and done it again

Just gonna cut em into one-inch chunks and cook em in a little salted water till tender, then serve with butter n salt. S'pose one could get fancy and cook em in a slow skillet w tomaters and onions, maybe even some corn that's been seared a little on a grill, but for my first taste I just want to enjoy them plain.
I guess you dont peel them then?
 
Probably help. Keeping pressure on, and not keep looking at it like people do! That just disrupts the platelets.
Didn't need it tonight, it's much better. Did not dig at though, it's got a red rim around it like trying to get infected so I know it's sore. Just soaked, cleaned, medicated, wrapped.

I'm not going to bc they are young, tender and summer squash variety, but after we eat them I will come on and tell you if that was the right choice. It's been dog's years since I've had them so I may mis-remember but I don't think they need peeled.

their shape looks almost impossible to peel.
