Granny's gone and done it again

So Newsom will get off your back about cutting back on energy usage. I read that Sweden, I believe it was, will begin throwing people in jail for using too much heat this winter. Lp
How can they judge that? There’s so many factors to energy usage to heat your home - efficiency of the home/heating unit for starters. This just hurts the lower income people who might not be able to afford new insulation, new windows, etc.
Yeah, for sure. Pi has no undercoat so the effect will be minimal. The cats are worse, especially Hairball Henry. Scooter always left lots of fluffy dust bunnies too.
My sister had an Akita. When that dog blew her coat it was like a blizzard... huge snow drifts of hair all over! By comparison, Pi will be a piece of cake.
Yeah. Goose is a German shedder.

Almost all of these policies to promote "clean" energy are regressive... poor people will suffer the most. Not that switching to clean energy isn't a lofty goal, it's just that A) we aren't ready for such a dramatic shift yet and B) there really isn't such a thing as "clean" energy if you consider the other detrimental effects on the environment from intensive mining to produce batteries, producing solar panels and wind turbines with limited life spans and no ability to be recycled. Huge solar arrays are placed in our most fragile desert ecosystems wiping out rare species and impacting bird populations.
At this point there is no way to produce large amounts of energy without some environmental cost. Until we figure out something like cold fusion, nuclear is actually one of the least impactful ways. Fossil fuels are currently the most dependable.
Choose your poison.

Morning all, Tom just used the shower. It was some easier on me as I didnt have to reach up to shampoo his hair. We need a throw rug down there that will absorb the water when he steps out. At least I didnt get soaked this time.
You don5 have a bath mat?
