Wow, already! What do you get, one month of summer? 😳

Some kid called the Latin teacher mommy today. I didn't know what to think lol. Most people were giggling. It wasn't until he revealed that he was her actual son that things made sense. I'm glad they cleared things up:lol:
I loved Latin, it helped make English make so much sense. But nobody speaks Latin. Kinda wish I'd taken Spanish, it's a language I could have actually used (I'm Hispanic -or whatever we're calling it these days, LatinX?)

Guess being busy helps. Food isn't the only thing I cope with now. I have temporarily stopped playing the harp, but I have also picked up the ukulele again. Trying to be easier on myself...

That actually doesn't bother me as much as it may bother others. I go to school mostly for education. Probably makes me sound extremely boring but it's true. Sure I talk to people and try to be friendly, but it's the classes that excite me. Seeing loads and loads of people is often draining for me. I actually used to get along with people my age really well, played the popular kids game, and got involved in friendship wars too. It wasn't until my family moved for the 7th time that I realized how much I had fallen out of the loop. Can't say I miss the drama, but I sure miss the friends. I had a lot of great friends and it's really not just a matter of "making them again" (especially in high school). Honestly though, if I could fast forward everything else, I would, but GED is not something I want to get early. There are just too many hopes and dreams I need to accomplish first.
There are some things you need an actual diploma for, I think. I know some nursing programs won't take you with a GED, at least. There may be other very competetive programs as well and I once heard there are military branches that require a diploma, or used to, so I don't know if that's still true.

I live in Tiredland!
Maybe it's the weather... I woke up tired and been "dragon" all day. Chills, stomach cramps, no energy. And these are stomach cramps, not menstrual, I don't have those problems any more, thank God and a surgeon in Denver! The humm'birds and chickens had to knock on windows and doors to get fed today; DH had to fend for himself out of the freezer. I'm worthless today.

Legolamd?
New York. We're planning to go to Ithaca and check out Cornell University!!😊

Of course that's not the only place we're going to, but it's surely the one I'm most excited for! The college of so many people's dreams, yet the reality for so little...

yup, the passing of the test provides a diploma which you can then take to exchange for college courses.

My bad Blue, I was wrong to say GED. I might even be wrong to say diploma. Technically you get a Certificate of Proficiency, not a diploma, but the U.S. Department of Education recognizes it as an equivalent to a highschool diploma. Maybe that makes more sense. I'm still at school, waiting for my mom to pick me up now. Talk to you guys later.
