I think we have a new TSC between her and me; we'll go there. You wouldn't believe the mountain of hair we got off these two today! It was just never ending, it wouldn't stop. They are really blowing their coats for winter.

Loooong weekend... lots going on. An old friend of my dad was passing through and stopped by the farm for a visit. She is losing her vision and can barely walk now, but wanted to see the redwoods one more time and see dad in person. I offered to organize a lunch for them, which everyone enjoyed and Pi was a big hit too... after he warmed up. The lady, Sharon, got a little emotional as she was leaving. She was grateful for having a friend over so many decades... 70+ years! They knew each other when she was 16 and dad was 18. I remember getting Christmas cards from her and her mom too over the years, but it has only been recently that we met her. It's cool they have memories of each other from so long ago.
It's good to have friends, even if it's here on a forum, a card or telephone friend like my dad.

what a lovely memory. I hope we are friends for all the years to come. I also love getting cards and letters although I really suck at sending them.

We went to puppy play yesterday morning and to the neighborhood block party. He was really scared of all the people, especially the toddlers. You should have seen his face the first time he saw a little kid... what the heck is that! But he warmed up and relaxed after half an hour, and got pet by all sorts of people and a whole bunch of little kids. He was very gentle... no mouthing. Such a good boy!

Today he learned how to navigate stairs up at the farm. He's still figuring out how to control those long legs!
