Closer to a month. A couple years back my hens were still fertile 3-4 weeks after my roo was killed.

I put some in but many yrs. ago. I remember hunting books all through the house to prop them up. LOL I know it is hard and heavy work.

wow, aint that something..
I have one hen I feel sorry for. The roo picks on her, treats her like a roo and always has her on the run. I never seen them mate.

I have the "useless" one fee ranging the ones I don't worry if they become hawk bait, is that bad? The important ones are in a run with a cover.
