Granny you have to do what is right for you. You know how you feel better than anyone.

I saw a pain specialist. Wasn't all that impressed with them. My DO handles my pain issues. He knows how I respond to meds better than a specialist does and I trust him. That's the thing, you have to trust who you are going to. Nobody else.

I did PT for my neck pain. Like you I have degenerative disc disease and a lot of narrowed channels that nerves pass through so I know pain will be an issue for me for the rest of my life. My doc sent me to a PT clinic that I love to pieces. The manager has had most of her spine fused along with her neck. She understands what pain is about and really did a lot to help me.

Just a Psssst, between you and me....if they offer accupuncture, try it. I was dubious now I'm a believer.

well, I like my pain clinic. they are really nice people there. But that ride.... to not have to make it would be wonderful.

as for me, My a1c was good at 6.5 She is sending me to yet another surgeon for the blockages in my legs. This time in Madison. She also made me an offer that I have to think on a lot. She said she is willing to take over my pain control. That would mean no more trips to Seymour. She is in Vevey which is a 1/2 hr drive on a good day. I would also only have to come once every 3 months. What she wont do is increase my meds. ever. She said I am as high as she is willing to go. Shes no expert in pain management like the clinic is.
When I got home PT had called and wants me to start also in Vevey.
I told Robert what she said and he got mad all over again. He hates her and dont understand why I would give her any business. He previously had cussed her out. He wants me to find another dr. all together. He is very upset with me.
What else is new....

This dr is really an NP? or am I confused?
It's a tough choice about the pain clinic. Have to say, maybe Robert might be onto something... don't like hearing that she is just now checking out prophylactic antibiotics for Tom. It's been a long time. Did you give her the idea?

Tomorrow someone is coming to replace our pressure tank for the well. Water pressure has been surging on and off for weeks and it's getting worse. Girl in the office told me how to check the valve on top. If you depress it and air comes out, it's probably only the the electrical pressure switch that needs replacing. If water comes out, we need a whole new tank. You can guess... we had a gusher!

Got a full blooded Cur puppy for the farm. He is doing really well with not wildly chasing the chickens. He takes an intense interest in everything that I do and responds well to direction. I try to direct him more than to correct him. Correction is needed, but if I can give him the right things to do I think he'll do better than if I just correct him when he does something wrong.

Went to J. C. Penny's today in the mall to spend some time with my sister. Their stuff is priced high but it's always marked way down. Sister bought two hundred dollars worth of clothing but was only charged 125 dollars. That's not too shabby

Yes she is a NP and yes I asked her last time we were there about long term antibiotics. She said no then I guess she did a little research.
