Granny's gone and done it again

So was listening to the radio while shopping and the new came on > HUGE hoopula about how Chicago is supposed to get to -25 with wind chill. NO mention about ND or Dickinson as I look my thermoter in the truck and it reads -22

Got a 10+ pound picnic ham today for 97 cents a pound IF you spent $30.00 NO PROBLEM

But the time I was done spent 69 and saved 52. not to bad.

who is coming for dinner?

well that depends on the weather/roads

I got the ham because it was on sale.

Dinner Christmas Eve is Swedish meatballs, mashed taters, gravy, green beans and beets, tons of different pickles and such. Desert is "Toasted Snow Squares.

after Dinner we clean up and do dishes , then open presents and go to Midnight Mass.

Christmas day they are on their own UNLESS I have house company then its leftovers and cookies, fudge, carmels and such.

thats right, I had forgotten you do meatballs. What are snow squares? Ive never heard of them.
beaten egg whites, sugar, vanilla and gelatin on a graham cracker crust with layers and then the topping is the egg yolks, butter, lemon juice and zest and whipped cream folded together to make like a desert gravy to pour over it.
