Yes, when I smoked I always smoked more if I was sick, in pain, stressed or anxious. I have no doubt quitting has saved or prolonged my life. I certainly feel better without it.

how long did you smoke?

I started at age 13 and quit at 18, the first time. Started again 23 years later if I remember correctly. Smoked 17 years. Quit 13 years ago this coming April, on my birthday. It was MUCH harder quitting the second time, and did it only through the grace of God. Lots and lots of prayers.

smoking can be a form of stress relief and help cope with pain mentally as it gives you another focus I would suggest trying vape and if legal cbd or thc, the first really doesn't do anything for me but I have seen it help others.
